We are looking for an energetic and experienced Senior VoIP Engineer.
The Senior VoIP Engineer team performs test and turn ups of carrier sip trunks for our carriers around the world.
This position requires in-depth knowledge of VOIP, PSTN, the telecommunications transport networks and their configurations.
Ability to thrive in start up environment.
Work with carriers to test and turn up sip trunks to RC Network components such as Sonus SBC
Work with Network Operations for IP assignments and network routing
Document carrier trunk configurations and experiences
Review network design and configuration and make recommendations to improve functionality and quality
Design and grow HA carrier configurations with carriers and Company's VoIP components
Study trends and participate in scaling adjustments for capacity of components, resources and sessions
Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve service issues related to VoIP telephony platforms and applications
Implementation of network changes
Follow operational process and procedure documents and network change management records
Ideal Candidate must have:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of telecommunications networks and environments
Experience and familiarity in VoIP call terminology and lingo
Familiar with methods of sip trunk topology - over www, over peer, over IPsec vpn, over private networks
Sonus Networks platform experience with Sonus EMS, Sonus SBC, Sonus PSX
Advanced level understanding of SIP, RTP, RTCP and related
Experience in parsing call records, sip traces, using Netscore for call analysis
Ability to capture and analyze SIP and RTP traces to isolate and resolve issues
In-depth understanding of MOS Score, Jitter, Delay, etc. and how to troubleshoot these occurrences

In depth knowledge of Voice PSTN networks and ability to grasp traffic flows in all directions

Team and cooperative work ethic and approach
Explore solutions to problems with consideration of full sense of ownership
Excellent email and verbal communications skills working with Vendors and external partners
Using a system for creating and managing tickets for tracking and momentum
A tenure of at least 1-3 years in similar role
Must have a high level of technical and analytical knowledge and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Must have a strong strategic thinking capacity, effective communication skills
