SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a CNC Toolmaker for a manufacturing client in Manchester Township, MI. The ideal candidate will have the ability to program, set-up and operate Haas CNC machining center to machine precision parts, details and gage components for a variety of industries.
Inspect, test, and adjust new and reworked tools, dies and fixtures for conformance to specification such as dimensions, tolerances, and hardness.
Read and interpret CAD data, blueprints, GD&T, CMM reports, customer specifications
Set up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data, fit and assemble parts into complete assembly, verify dimensions and alignment of assembly.
Verify conformance of finished work-piece to specifications.
Install machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, equipment and test operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance.
Measure, mark and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work-piece as guides for subsequent machining.
Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers and grinders.
Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow and depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media.
Develop specifications from general description and draw sketch of part or product to be fabricated.
Apply and utilize manufacturing best practice for efficiency, quality, safety and capability.
High school Diploma or equivalent required.
2 years of machining and assembly required.
Experience with Mastercam, Solidworks and/or other similar CNC software required.
Custom Fabrication and Machine shop exp preferred
Industry experience relating to automotive, military, or medical preferred.
Experience building gage components, precision machine parts, and doing custom machining.
Mechanical skills, including computer software, hand tools, and large-scale machines.
Ability to read and interpret instructions and document, plan and perform work activities independently.
Must be able to read blue prints.
