JOB SUMMARY
Ensures dates, descriptions, and ingredients match products before labeling. Ensures labels are checked before forklift brings pallets to the labeling area. Communicates effectively to the Label Printer via radio when more labels are needed. Documents Production and Expiration dates on QA paperwork. Documents protein temperature readings on daily temperature logs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects
Checks labels for accuracy (dates, weights, product description, country requirements, and ingredients) before labeling
Uses temperature gun to collect temperature readings on protein products while labeling
Documents P&E dates on QA sheets for items as they are being labeled
Communicates effectively via radio to Label Printers for more labels providing important information such as corresponding Production and Expiration dates, item and shipment numbers
Spot checks cases as they are being labeled for accuracy and helps avoid timely and costly errors
Communicates mistakes, damages, and workload to Lead to ensure the department stays productive throughout the day
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
At least 2-3 years of high school completed at a minimum
Experience
1-2 years experience in a warehouse environment required
1-2 years experience in a quality assurance role preferred
Skills
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. often and up to 80 lbs
occasionally. Able to work in both ambient and freezer temperatures
Read, speak, & type in English. Spanish & Arabic literacy a plus
Able to work flexible hours
Must have basic computer skills
