1376258 BC Ltd dba River's Reach Pub at 320 Sixth Street in New Westminster, BC is hiring Chefs for a full – time permanent position. Job duties would be to plan and direct new cooking techniques and new equipment to the cooking staff. Create new recipes and instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food. Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff. Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods. Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances. Determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies. Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards. Experience of minimum 2 to 3 years as cook is required. Knowledge of various ingredients and cooking methods, equipment and procedures would be an asset. Minimum education as completion of High school is required. Salary will be $25.00/hour. Language required is English. Must be available at weekends and evenings. Work will be min. 35 to 40 hours per week, along with 2 days off per week.
