Location: Hong Kong
Our client, one of the leading investment banks in Hong Kong, is looking for a strong UNIX / Linux Engineer to join their dedicated infrastructure team managing and supporting their electronic trading infrastructure. This is a technical and hands-on role with great potential and remuneration.
Responsibilities:
– Manage and support the bank’s electronic trading infrastructure (including Linux / RHEL, data centers and colocation) in an enterprise banking environment.
– Hands-on UNIX / Linux: installation, configuration, troubleshooting and project implementation for the bank’s trading production environment.
– Server capacity planning, deployment, monitoring, upgrades and patching and automation.
– Contribute and work towards knowledge bases and technology standards & frameworks
Requirements:
– At least 6+ years’ UNIX / Linux systems administration experience in UNIX, Linux, and RHEL in a Bank / Financial Institution.
– In-depth OS knowledge (operating systems processes and kernel); as well as experience covering x86 hardware, networking peripherals and data center setup/colocation.
– Hands-on scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Perl) and system tooling.
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or related).
– Good English communication skills.
