Wage Rate: $32.00 per hour.
Hours of work: 8 hours a day/ 40 hours per week
Job Duties: Being a Carpenter, you are expected to do some or all of these job duties: • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join material made of • wood, wood substitute, and other materials. • Read and interpret buildings, drawings, and sketched to • determine specifications and calculate requirements when • required. • Prepare layout in conformance to building codes, using • measuring tools. • Manufacture glass, doors, mirrors and lattice sheet, pre-cut • shed kits, and boards • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and • erect walls and roof system • Maintain, repair and renovate residence and wooden • structures in other establishments • Fit, install, and trim items such as doors, moldings and • wooden fences • May prepare cost estimate for clients, if required.
Requirements: Completion of Secondary School is required
A minimum of 2-3 years of related experience in trade is required.
