Our client, a leading financial institution, is looking for an Automation QA Engineer to join their Testing Services team. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative and exciting projects within a large financial group. The ideal candidate will have a good background in automation testing, including mobile applications, and will contribute directly to the quality of software products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and oversee automation regression tests using the Cucumber framework and Appium.
- Plan and execute performance tests with JMeter.
- Manage test environments, including setting up test cases, devices, and profiles.
- Develop and maintain feature files, step definitions, and element mappings for test automation.
- Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to smoothly integrate test automation into the development process.
- Review test reports, ensure all tests are successful, and identify improvement areas.
- Provide technical guidance and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Coordinate with business users, QA teams, and developers to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Use JIRA for managing stories, test cases, and tracking test coverage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in automation testing, including mobile application testing.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including test planning, test case design, and execution.
- Extensive experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Cucumber and Appium.
- Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks.
- Experience in performance testing using JMeter.
- Fluent in Cantonese and English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, effective with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
