Global law firm seeks a Commercial Litigation/Disputes savvy Associate to join its expanding Miami team.
Candidate will have the following: Minimum 3 years of litigation experience within a major law firm setting (experience will be current or very recent) ; Experience drafting filings for active litigation and arbitration matters ; Extensive engagement in preparing expert witnesses for deposition, trial, and arbitration ; Strong background in appellate briefing and strategy ; Advanced legal research skills, particularly in commercial litigation and arbitration contexts ; Exposure to complex litigation, including RICO, FCCPA, FDCPA, fraud, contract disputes, and procedural issues in both state and federal courts ; Proficiency in the use of Relativity, with hands-on experience conducting document review and managing discovery requests and responses ; Significant trial and arbitration support experience - including preparing fact and expert witnesses, drafting examination outlines, and contributing to opening and closing statements.
Stellar academic credentials (Law Review and/or Moot Court accolades desired) ; J.D./LL.M. ; Strong research, verbal & written communication skills required, and effective analytical skills ; Keen working knowledge of MS Office Suite, and Relativity application ; Florida Bar.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Representing a diverse client base, including sovereign entities and companies in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, technology, finance, and construction.
-Conducting advanced legal research and draft memoranda analyzing complex commercial litigation and arbitration issues.
-Managing discovery processes, including document review, production, and oversight of review teams.
-Preparing expert and fact witnesses for trial and arbitration.
-Drafting pleadings, motions, responses, and appellate briefs across multiple jurisdictions.
-Interpreting and applying federal and state laws related to arbitration, bankruptcy, contracts, and procedural rules.
-Developing legal strategies and providing actionable advice to clients in domestic and international disputes.
=Leading trial and arbitration preparation, including examination outlines and statement drafting.
-Supporting mediation and settlement efforts through research, presentations, and agreement drafting.
-Mentoring junior associates and legal staff, promoting diversity and equitable workflow distribution.
-Collaborating on client pitches and business development initiatives.
