Lake Country Radio Cafe at 10356B Bottom Wood Lake Road in Winfield BC is hiring chef for full-time and permanent position. Job duties would be to plan and direct new cooking techniques and new equipment to the cooking staff. Create new recipes and instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food. Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff. Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods. Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances. Determine the size of food portion, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies. Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards. Experience of minimum 2 to 3 years as a cook is required. Knowledge of various ingredients and cooking methods, equipment and procedures would be an asset. Minimum education as completion of High school is required. Must be able to communicate in English. Salary would be $23.00/hr. Minimum work of 30Hrs to 40Hrs per week will be given, along with 2 days off per week . Must be available evenings and weekends.
