We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Murex Applications to lead a high-performing team with our banking client. In this critical role, you will own the entire Murex platform, partnering with business leaders to shape the future of the Treasury and Capital Markets technology landscape.

What You'll Do: Your Impact
- Lead & Inspire: Mentor and manage a skilled team of Murex analysts and developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. You'll set the technical direction and empower your team to achieve ambitious goals.
- Strategic Project Delivery: Spearhead the end-to-end delivery of complex, high-impact Murex projects. You'll define the roadmap, secure resources, and navigate challenges to deliver best-in-class solutions on time and within scope.
- Business Partnership: Act as the primary technology partner for senior stakeholders in Treasury and other business units. Translate their strategic needs into robust, scalable, and efficient Murex solutions that drive business growth.
- Technical Stewardship: Provide expert technical guidance on the development and maintenance of the Murex platform. While this is a leadership role, you're not afraid to dive into the details and contribute directly when your expertise is needed.
- Vendor & Risk Management: Own and optimize key vendor relationships, ensuring we extract maximum value from the partners. Proactively identify potential risks, develop contingency plans, and ensure the unwavering stability and compliance of the systems.
What You'll Bring: Your Expertise
- Proven Murex Leadership: 15+ years of progressive experience in financial technology, with a deep, hands-on understanding of the Murex (MX.3) platform. You have a proven track record of leading Murex teams within an investment banking or capital markets environment.
- Strong Domain Knowledge: Expertise in bank treasury products, including foreign exchange (FX), fixed income, and derivatives. A solid grasp of the end-to-end trade lifecycle, from execution to back-office settlement and post-trade activities, is essential.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is essential for collaborating effectively with the diverse business stakeholders.
- vProject Management Excellence: Demonstrated success in leading multiple concurrent projects and delivering complex software solutions. You are adept at planning, managing resources, and communicating effectively with all levels of the organization. (PMP certification is a strong plus).
- Strategic Thinker & Problem Solver: You have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and navigate the complexities of financial regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Educational Foundation: A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline.
