Are you a visionary architect passionate about driving technological change in one of the world's most dynamic regions? We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to spearhead our client's technology strategy and define the architectural blueprint for the future of financial services across Asia.
This is a unique, high-impact role that blends strategic enterprise architecture with hands-on solution design. You will not only define the 'what' and 'why' but also guide the 'how', partnering with engineering and country teams to bring the digital-first vision to life. You will be the central pillar in the efforts to build a scalable, resilient, and future-proof technology ecosystem that delivers exceptional value to the customers and business.
What You'll Do: Your Impact
- As a key member of the regional technology leadership, you will:
- Spearhead Strategic Vision: Define and evangelize the target state enterprise architecture and technology roadmap. Ensure it is tightly aligned with the business goals, digital transformation ambitions, and the complex regulatory landscape across Asia.
- Architect for Excellence: Act as the lead solution architect for the most critical, cross-border initiatives. Design robust, scalable, and secure solutions leveraging modern patterns like microservices, event-driven architecture (EDA), and cloud-native principles, ensuring we build for the future with zero technical debt.
- Govern and Guide: Establish and mature the architecture frameworks, standards, and governance processes (leveraging frameworks like TOGAF). Act as a trusted advisor to project teams, ensuring architectural integrity and alignment from conception to deployment.
- Lead and Inspire: Mentor a community of architects and senior engineers across the region. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence, achieving consensus and driving forward-thinking technology initiatives with country chief architects.
- Champion Innovation: Be the eyes and ears on the ground for emerging technologies. Research, prototype, and advocate for the adoption of technologies like AI/ML and blockchain where they can create a competitive advantage, enhance operational efficiency, and delight the customers.
- Collaborate to Win: Partner closely with business leaders, product owners, data governance teams, and engineering leads to translate complex business needs into elegant and effective technology solutions.
What You Bring: Your Expertise
We are looking for a senior technologist with a powerful blend of strategic thinking and deep technical knowledge.
Architectural Mastery & Technical Depth:
- Frameworks & Tools: Proven expertise in applying EA frameworks like TOGAF or Zachman. Proficient with EA modeling tools such as BizzDesign, Sparx Systems, or similar.
- Modern Architecture Patterns: Deep, hands-on experience with APIs, microservices, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).
- Cloud & DevOps: Extensive experience designing and delivering solutions on major cloud platforms (Azure or AWS preferred). Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and observability platforms.
- Technology Stack: Familiarity with modern programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript), UI technologies (Angular, React), and hybrid mobile frameworks (Capacitor, Flutter).
- Core Disciplines: Strong understanding across Application, Data (including governance and analytics), Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity architecture principles.
Leadership & Strategic Acumen:
- Experience: A minimum of 15 years of experience in technology, with at least 5 years in a dedicated Enterprise Architect or senior-level architecture position.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep experience within the financial services or insurance sector is highly advantageous, with a firm grasp of its unique regulatory and security challenges.
- Inspirational Leadership: The ability to lead, influence, and mentor technical teams, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and drive consensus in a multicultural, regional environment.
- Business Partnership: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and connect technology initiatives directly to business outcomes.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Certifications such as TOGAF, Azure/AWS Solutions Architect are highly regarded.
