The Opportunity
Our client is a prominent financial services institution that plays a crucial role in ensuring the operations and efficiency of the financial markets. You will join a high-calibre team of professionals dedicated to developing and maintaining robust, high-performance applications in a secure and stable environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Your role will be central to the entire development lifecycle, focusing on enhancing and supporting critical business systems.
- System Analysis & Design: You will analyse complex user requirements and business needs, translating them into well-structured technical specifications and robust system designs.
- Hands-On Development: You will be responsible for coding, implementing, and modifying Java-based applications, ensuring all code is clean, efficient, and aligns with industry best practices.
- Quality Assurance: You'll play a key part in maintaining system quality by designing and executing comprehensive Unit and System Integration Tests (SIT) and performing detailed code reviews.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Act as a key technical resource during testing phases and production, expertly identifying, managing, and resolving issues to ensure seamless operation.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and thorough documentation for all system enhancements and changes.
What You'll Bring
We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong technical foundation and a proactive mindset.
Experience & Qualifications:
- A university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of solid experience in system analysis and Java development.
- Experience within the financial services, banking (FSI), or a related regulatory environment is highly advantageous.
Core Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in J2EE multi-tier or Microservices architecture.
- Deep knowledge of the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Security, MVC) and data persistence frameworks (MyBatis, JPA, Spring Data).
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as React JS / Ant Design.
- Solid experience with Oracle databases and PL/SQL programming.
- Experience with OpenShift, Jenkins, and CI/CD is a definite plus.
Personal Attributes:
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
- A proactive team player with outstanding analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.
- A strong sense of ownership, integrity, and responsibility is essential.
