This position is for a Data Analyst/ Engineer who will be instrumental in driving innovation within our Big Data and Analytics Platforms. The successful candidate will apply analytical and statistical techniques to promote business growth. The role involves enhancing the analytical processes within our data framework, which includes risk, DNS, clearing, and settlement data. You will be responsible for building data pipelines for business users and operational teams to facilitate self-service business intelligence queries.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with business users to identify opportunities for data analytics, articulating business requirements, and designing and implementing suitable data solutions.
- Analyzing large volumes of diverse data with our Business Analytics Platform using appropriate analytics, visualization, and data science techniques.
- Innovating, promoting, and driving new data and analytics concepts across all areas within the department.
- Collaborating with IT to design and continuously refine the data framework.
- Working closely with the operations and business teams to enhance existing business use cases.
- Optimizing existing workflows and use cases to streamline the process.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in a role such as a Data Analytics SME, Business Intelligence Engineer, or similar. You should have experience in developing dashboards and conducting data and statistical analysis. The ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and a constantly changing environment is crucial. Experience in developing analytics solutions on large-scale data and within the financial industry/risk management is highly desired.
- Ability to independently influence and drive delivery, set clear expectations, and roadmaps.
- Data-driven thinking.
- Advanced skills in data visualization tools like Tableau, Qlik, or PowerBI.
- Hands-on experience with Python, xQLib, or similar coding languages.
- Demonstrated strength in SQL, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing.
- Understanding of statistical models, machine learning, and graph analysis.
- Experience with AWS or Huawei Cloud platform.
- Experience with data security and protection tools.
