Assistant manager - Retail
Courtenay Country Market Ltd located at 5352A Island Highway N, Courtenay, BC, Canada V9J 1S9
is looking for 1 Assistant Manager -Retail to join their team as soon as possible.
Main Duties:
• Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of the store.
• Manage staff and assign duties
• Develop and implement marketing strategies
• Determine merchandise and services to be sold.
• Implement price and credit policies
• Source and negotiate with vendors to procure merchandise for resale
• Plan budgets, monitor revenues and authorize expenditures
• Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
• Determine staffing requirements and hire & train or arrange for training of staff
• Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales
Requirements:
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years experience as a supervisor or Manager, ideally in retail sector
Language: English
Salary: $40.87/hour for 30 hours per week
