Pinpoint Asia is partnering with a top-tier global financial group to find a seasoned Senior Scrum Master to join their Data Technology division. This is a high-impact role within a team building a comprehensive, single-solution data catalog that connects business processes, products, and services across the bank’s global business units.
This position is ideal for a hybrid Delivery Lead/Scrum Master who thrives in complex environments. You will not just facilitate ceremonies; you will own the end-to-end delivery of data-centric projects, ranging from Big Data lakes to AI/ML model integration.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Delivery Ownership: Take full ownership of projects from Initiation to Closure, ensuring the team delivers high-quality data products efficiently.
- Advanced Scrum Management: Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Reviews) and lead quarterly Product Increment (PI) Planning sessions.
- Risk & Issue Control: Maintain rigorous RAID logs. Proactively identify risks, escalate issues to the right stakeholders in a timely manner, and drive them to mitigation.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the bridge between Technical Teams (Data/AI) and Business Stakeholders. You must be able to challenge technical estimates and build realistic project plans.
- Resource & Priority Management: Work with Product Owners to prioritize the backlog, manage resource allocation, and handle non-functional requirements.
- Reporting: Produce high-quality status reports (PowerPoint/Confluence) for senior management, ensuring total transparency on project health.
Key Requirements
- Experience: 8+ years of proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager, specifically managing IT delivery in medium-to-large complex environments.
- Domain Knowledge: Previous experience in the Banking/Finance sector is highly preferred.
- Language Skills: Strict requirement for fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin (spoken and written) to communicate with regional teams, alongside professional English.
- Technical Literacy (Data & AI):
-- Familiarity with Cloud Platforms (Primary preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP); Azure/AWS considered).
-- Exposure to Big Data tools (Spark, Hadoop) and AI frameworks (TensorFlow) is a distinct advantage (coding is not required, but conceptual understanding is necessary to manage delivery).
- Tooling Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in JIRA (including JQL) and Confluence. Strong skills in PowerPoint for executive reporting.
- Certifications: SAFe Agile, PSM, or CSM certifications are a strong plus.
