Pinpoint Asia is partnering with a leading Insurance Group to identify a QA Practice Lead. This is not a role for a silent script-executor; we are looking for a strategic Test Programme Manager or Delivery Lead who can command a room, manage complex vendor relationships, and ensure that "Go Live" means "Ready," not just "Done."

The Role
You will act as the bridge between Business/Application Teams (Onshore) and Testing/Execution Teams (Offshore). Your mandate is to move beyond simple bug tracking and drive the entire Quality Programme.
- Be the Gatekeeper: You will be the vocal authority on quality. You must be comfortable challenging Application Leads and Project Managers, providing the data and confidence to say "No" to a release when quality standards aren't met.
- Bridge the Gap: Act as the primary translation layer between onshore application owners (who focus on requirements) and offshore testing vendors (who focus on execution). You will ensure the offshore teams understand what they are testing and why.
- Programme Management: Treat Testing as a programme. Manage schedules, resource forecasting, risk assessments, and vendor SLAs across multiple workstreams.
- Governance & Standards: Establish and enforce testing best practices. Ensure that the testing strategy aligns with the broader business goals of the Insurance Group.
The Person We Are Looking For
We are not looking for an automation coder (though technical knowledge is key); we are looking for a Leader.
- The Background: You have "been there and done that." You started your career in testing, so you know the difference between a real defect and a bad script, but you have spent the last 5+ years in Project Management, Test Management, or Programme Delivery.
- The Personality: Vocal, articulate, and assertive. You have "Executive Presence" and can hold your ground in high-pressure stakeholder meetings.
- The Connector: Proven experience managing Offshore/Nearshore vendors. You know how to drive productivity from remote teams while keeping onshore stakeholders happy.
- The Industry: Experience in Insurance, Banking, or Financial Services is highly preferred due to the regulatory and complex nature of the systems.
