Company Profile: A German biotechnology company in Taguig. This is the leading global provider of pharmaceutical products. They research and manufacture drugs to treat various diseases. They have 40 branches around the world. Employing 5,000 people across the globe.
Position: Spanish Senior General Ledger Accountant
Industry: Shared Services
Location: McKinley, Taguig City
Salary: Negotiable
Schedule: Monday – Friday; Night Shift (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM or as advised)
Work set-up: Onsite during probationary period; Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) upon regularization
Requirements:
️Open for Filipino
️Proficient in both Spanish and English language
️With at least minimum of 4 years of General Ledger accounting experience
️Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any related courses
️Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles (US GAAP and IFRS)
️Proficient in SAP FI; experience with S/4HANA is an advantage
️Experience in transitioning accounting activities to shared service centers (desktop procedures, work shadowing, etc.)
️Familiarity with Mexico operations is a plus
Responsibilities:
️ Manage monthly close processes across multiple entities
️ Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
️ Maintain general ledger accuracy, including intercompany activity
️ Oversee fixed assets and lease accounting
️ Support tax filings and compliance (e.g., VAT, Sales Tax, Income Tax)
️ Perform financial analysis and variance reviews
️ Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies
️ Assist with audits and provide required documentation
️ Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams
️ Contribute to projects and process improvements
️ Serve as the main backup for the GL Manager
