Job Description / Responsibilities
Lead and execute the overall business development strategy, identifying, evaluating, and converting new sales opportunities in importation, freight forwarding, and brokerage.
Develop and expand new markets while building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
Oversee end-to-end importation and logistics operations, including supplier coordination, order management, freight forwarding, brokerage, and transportation.
Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, tariffs, and all applicable laws governing importation and logistics operations.
Spearhead logistics sales initiatives while collaborating closely with the operations team to successfully implement and manage new and existing accounts.
Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contractual agreements with suppliers, vendors, and partners.
Proactively resolve operational, client, and supplier issues to maintain service excellence and minimize risk.
Monitor performance metrics, ensure regulatory compliance (including handling of regulated or dangerous cargo), and implement continuous process improvements aligned with industry best practices.
