MAIN PURPOSE:
The successful candidate will be responsible for being on standby as a driver and ensure timely delivery/collection of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes and/or additional driving activities.
Key Performance Areas:
Inspect vehicle tyres, lights, brakes, fluids, etc. to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with preventive maintenance in mind
Maintain communication with company during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are received
Document delivery, accuracy and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives and report any discrepancies to the company
Maintain and monitor vehicle maintenance and driving record requirements, and maintain required documents for safety, security and quality processes
Maintain a safe driving record free of violations and accidents
Interact with customers in a professional manner
Collect, load and offload recycling by hand.
Qualifications:
Valid Code 10 Driver’s License
Valid PDP
Matric
Knowledge and Experience:
2-5 years experience in Transport
Familiarity with GPS devices or map apps
Knowledge of Traffic Regulation with regard to Transport
Skills and Inherent Requirements
Good Communication Skills
Good Judgement and Decision-Making Skills
Sober Habits
Clean Driving Record
Willing to work weekends and public holidays if required
Ability to manage time and routes for a streamlined delivery/collection experience
Fit and of good health in order to lift heavy goods
Work well within a team

Salary: R5,900.00 per month
