About the Role

Pinpoint Asia is partnering with a top-tier global insurance enterprise to hire a hybrid Senior System Analyst. We are looking for a "tech-translator"—someone who can take complex business requirements, act as a technical BA/PM, and architect robust cloud-based solutions to modernize the firm's core enterprise platforms.
This is not a standard, heads-down coding job. You will be driving a digital transformation across the business's critical operations. If you love being hands-on with modern tech stacks (Cloud, Kubernetes, C#/Java) but also want the autonomy to lead architecture discussions, mentor a growing team, and solve complex, systemic challenges, this is the perfect career move.
Your Impact (What You Will Do)
- Bridge the Gap: Act as the primary technical advisor, translating business requirements into scalable system designs and actionable project plans (blending Business Analysis and Project Management).
- Architect the Future: Drive the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of core enterprise applications using C#, Java, and modern web frameworks (Angular/React).
- Champion Modernization: Lead cloud infrastructure adoption (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Kubernetes/Docker) while integrating continuous improvement through DevSecOps and CI/CD practices.
- Lead & Mentor: Take ownership of code quality, conduct rigorous testing/code reviews, and guide a lean team of developers, helping to distribute and manage the technical workload.
- Ensure Operational Excellence: Oversee user training, production deployment, problem diagnosis, and post-implementation support to keep the business running flawlessly.
What You Bring (Requirements)
- Experience: 6 to 10 years of experience in IT project development, with at least 3+ years specifically in cloud-based system design and architecture.
- The Hybrid Skillset: You aren't just a developer; you have proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience gathering requirements and managing stakeholders. (Formal BA or PM experience is a massive plus).
- Technical Stack: * Solid proficiency in object-oriented languages (C#, Java) and frontend frameworks (React, Angular).
-- Deep, hands-on knowledge of Cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure) and container technologies (Kubernetes / Docker).
-- Familiarity with DevSecOps, Agile methodologies, RESTful APIs, and databases (MS SQL, MongoDB).
- Leadership Traits: A self-motivated team player who can independently steer projects, lead technical discussions, and mentor junior staff.
- Language: Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese/Chinese.
- Bonus: Previous experience in the General Insurance domain is a strong advantage.
