Our client, a leading insurance company, is looking for a IT Lead project manager to drive the key transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Drive the end-to-end execution of a critical core system integration project, ensuring seamless connectivity between legacy platforms and new digital ecosystems.
- Act as the central pivot between the Product Owner, Business Units, and IT Engineering teams to align project goals with organizational strategy.
- Manage and influence senior stakeholders, providing transparent updates on project health, navigating conflicting priorities, and facilitating executive-level decision-making.
- Oversee project lifecycles using the most effective methodology (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) to meet timelines without compromising system stability.
- Work with business teams to define and document functional requirements, ensuring the technical solution delivered by IT meets the "customer-first" objective.
- Proactively identify project bottlenecks and technical interdependencies; develop robust contingency plans to safeguard project delivery.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and allocate internal and external resources effectively to ensure high-ROI delivery.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8–10 years of project management experience within the Insurance or Financial Services sector, with a specific focus on large-scale system migrations or integrations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record of managing high-pressure environments and the ability to navigate the "informal hierarchy" and political landscape of a global firm.
- Advanced organizational skills with the ability to manage "creative abrasion" between teams and foresee problems before they impact the critical path.
- Experience leading cross-functional squads and a commitment to mentorship, including the ability to provide training and documentation to uplift team capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field. Professional certifications such as PMP, Prince2, or Scrum Master (CSM) are preferred.
