My client is a leading global consulting firm dedicated to delivering innovative solutions in the banking and insurance sectors. We are seeking a dynamic Technical Project Manager to join our team.
Overview:
The Technical Project Manager / Solution Architect will lead large-scale technology initiatives centered on core system modernization. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management experience, and client engagement skills to effectively guide our clients through their transformation journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on planning and executing large-scale technology-enabled initiatives, including core system modernization and transformation.
- Lead complex projects that encompass custom application design, business process re-engineering, and solution integration.
- Plan, design, and implement tailored solutions to address clients' business challenges within the banking or insurance domains.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality solutions and building trust with clients.
- Work with internal teams to drive initiatives, pitch and close sales opportunities, and manage deliverables for clients.
- Foster high-performing teams through challenging and meaningful opportunities.
Key Requirements:
- A strong background in consulting and in-house roles, particularly within the banking or insurance sectors.
- 8-12 years in technology consulting or IT project management, with a minimum of 4 years as an architect focused on data and application implementation.
- Proven experience in solution architecture and end-to-end system modernization, along with familiarity with modern platforms like Alibaba Cloud, Huawei Cloud, and Tencent Cloud.
- Exceptional leadership and communication abilities, with the talent to translate complex technical concepts for executive stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degrees (MBA, MS) are preferred.
- Experience with: Java, Python, ETL, data quality assurance, Oceanbase, PolarDB, or similar certifications are advantageous.
- Familiarity with Hong Kong’s financial services regulatory environment (e.g., HKMA, HKIA compliance) is desirable.
