The Role:
As the Senior Solution Architect, you will be the technical visionary responsible for designing, integrating, and modernizing complex hardware and software architectures. You will act as the bridge between business strategy and technology execution, ensuring that all platform designs accelerate feature delivery and align with long-term corporate goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Design & Strategy: Formulate and maintain complex, modern component architectures. Define the technology roadmap, select desired platforms, and integrate emerging technologies tailored to business needs.
- Platform Engineering & Best Practices: Design reusable templates and architecture blueprints for software and platform engineers. Champion Agile, DevOps, TDD, and CI/CD methodologies to accelerate delivery.
- Technical Leadership: Act as a technical authority across small-to-medium-sized engineering teams. Review code, troubleshoot mis-specified architectures, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Evaluate and build a robust network of third-party suppliers. Collaborate effectively across multiple domain areas to achieve a unified technology roadmap.
- Mentorship: Coach team members, manage through "creative abrasion," and elevate the overall technical capability of the organization.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven track record as a Solution Architect, Platform Architect, or Senior Software Architect in a complex, enterprise environment.
- Deep, hands-on understanding of modern software architectures, API-driven development, scripting languages, and cloud/platform technologies.
- Strong adherence to and advocacy for Agile, DevOps principles, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Continuous Integration (CI).
- Exceptional commercial acumen with the ability to link technical actions to overarching business strategies.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate technical visions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A strong continuous improvement mindset. Relevant architecture or cloud certifications are highly regarded.
- Prior domain knowledge within the Insurance or Financial Services sector is highly preferred.
