The Client: We are partnering with a top-tier, globally recognized Investment Bank to find top Java engineering talent. This is a highly role-based position in Hong Kong, sitting within their elite global Wealth Management technology division.
The Role: You will join a specialized, globally distributed team responsible for building, modernizing, and maintaining core accounting services. This is not a standard maintenance role; you will be architecting and developing high-performance distributed systems, data streams, and microservices that power over 10 critical private banking and wealth applications globally.

What You Will Do:
- Build & Modernize: Design and develop robust portfolio accounting services from the ground up using Core Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
- Architect for Scale: Engineer scalable, highly reusable backend components and implement event-driven architectures.
- Optimize: Troubleshoot, debug, and drastically improve the performance of large-scale, data-intensive distributed systems.
- Collaborate: Partner seamlessly with QA, product managers, and enterprise architecture teams across Hong Kong and India to deliver flawless end-to-end features.
What We Are Looking For:
- Core Engineering Mastery: Exceptional hands-on experience in Core Java, with a deep understanding of multithreading, concurrency, memory management, and backend engineering.
- Modern Frameworks: Proven track record in building and deploying Microservices using Spring Boot and REST APIs.
- Data & Design: Strong command of SQL (DB2 preferred), complex data models, and distributed system architectures. Solid grasp of OOP and modern design patterns.
- Problem Solver: Elite debugging skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to global stakeholders.
- Bonus Points: Prior exposure to financial systems (portfolio/ledger workflows), event streaming (Kafka), NoSQL stores, or cloud-native containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
