Purpose of the Position
The purpose of this position is to take full ownership of financial accounting for Philippines entity. The Senior Accountant will focus on handling daily, monthly, and quarterly accounting tasks, ensuring that accounting data is accurate and compliant with Philippines tax and accounting regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Responsible for month end tasks for the Philippines ledgers within the Group, including:
Accruals and Provisions;
Prepayments;
Fixed assets;
Intercompany reconciliations;
Revaluations; and
Other items as required.
· Responsible for bookkeeping in Philippines accounting software system (if needed) and preparing required documents.
· Prepare/ Check monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with Philippines Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and group reporting requirements.
· Responsible for the transparency and accuracy of accounting data.
· Analyze financial reports to identify tax trends and risks and propose solutions.
· Reviewing and approving transactions posted by the Group Transactional Team.
· Responsible for customer invoicing and managing collections for Philippines entities within Group.
· Liaise with external Auditors in relation to the annual audit;
· Liaise with the local tax authorities for local tax compliance and assist with the preparation and lodgement of local statutory direct and indirect taxation requirements.
· Liaise with external Banking contacts where required.
· Ad hoc tasks as directed by the Finance Director.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor or above Degree in Accountancy, Finance , Business, Commerce or related field.
Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is preferred
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or regional setting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Written and verbal communication skills in Chinese is preferred.
Experience using large ERP Systems (Workday advantageous).
Solid understanding of Philippines accounting standards, SST, and regulatory requirements.
Experience working with third-party payroll and tax consultants is a plus.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.
Excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritize and consistently meet deadlines.
Willing to work in our Bacoor office.
