The Role, Responsibilities, and Landscape: As a Hybrid EUC & Windows Platform Engineer, you will sit within the Global Infrastructure Team, taking ownership of the design, build, and support of both backend server infrastructure and modern endpoint services. Your impact will be direct: ensuring the systems that underpin trading platforms, research technology, and market execution run flawlessly.
- Core Infrastructure: Build, manage, and deploy Windows Server (2022-2025) environments and VMware ESXi infrastructure.
- Identity & Directory Services: Design and support a globally distributed, multi-forest Active Directory environment, managing DNS, replication, and Entra ID integration.
- Modern EUC & VDI: Engineer and optimize Windows 10/11 desktop environments, Microsoft Intune, and Citrix DaaS / VDI platforms, ensuring peak user experience and seamless profile management (FSLogix).
- Automation & IaC: Drive standardisation and eliminate manual tasks using advanced PowerShell scripting, Ansible, and Terraform for endpoint builds, configuration, and infrastructure provisioning.
- Security & Resilience: Design Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for security hardening, manage backup platforms (Veeam), and monitor performance using tools like Splunk.
What We Are Looking For:
- Extensive engineering experience spanning Windows Server and enterprise Active Directory architecture (GPO design, replication, identity troubleshooting).
- Deep understanding of modern End User Computing, including Windows 10/11 lifecycle management, Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, and M365.
- Proven expertise in supporting and tuning Citrix DaaS / VDI environments.
- Advanced automation skills utilizing PowerShell; exposure to Ansible or Terraform is highly advantageous.
- Solid foundation in VMware ESXi, clustering, and storage/backup solutions (Veeam).
- Strong networking and security fundamentals (PKI/certificates, authentication protocols like Kerberos/NTLM).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to act as a 3rd-line escalation point and collaborate with global engineering teams.
