REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
Open to Filipino and Filipino-Chinese candidates who are proficient in reading, writing, and speaking Mandarin and English.
Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Political Science, or any related discipline.
Prior experience as a paralegal or as a translator in the Supreme Court, law firms, or government institutions is required.
Should be capable of multitasking, with strong skills in organizing, planning, prioritizing tasks, and monitoring workflows, processes, and related documentation.
Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to quickly and accurately analyze information, make sound decisions, and resolve issues effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with both internal and external stakeholders while maintaining strong interpersonal relationships.
Must be a team player and comfortable working in a collaborative environment with peer review processes.
Proficient in using computers and various software applications, including CLM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:
Translate or interpret Mandarin and English legal content accurately.
Mandarin Legal Translator is responsible for reviewing, abstracting, and analyzing commercial contracts and legal documents (e.g., NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, license agreements).
Draft, redline, and edit legal documents under the supervision of legal teams.
Extract and summarize key contract information for reporting and compliance purposes.
Ensure contracts follow company/client policies, legal standards, and guidelines.
Conduct quality checks on legal data and contract records for accuracy.
Support contract lifecycle management (CLM) processes such as tracking, loading, and updating documents.
Coordinate with onshore and offshore legal teams to ensure timely delivery of outputs.
Maintain organized legal files and documentation systems.
Assist in identifying errors, risks, or inconsistencies in contracts and legal data.
