Our client is a premier global financial services group and capital markets leader with an extensive footprint across major Asian exchanges. They are looking for a Developer to spearhead the evolution of their proprietary Front and Middle Office trading ecosystem. In this high-visibility role, you will own the full SDLC—from initial architecture and feasibility studies to hands-on development and L2 production support.
Responsibilities
- Design, code, and implement robust features for in-house trading and Middle Office systems using the .NET framework.
- Conduct feasibility studies and impact analyses for new system solutions, providing technical recommendations to business stakeholders.
- Own the testing phase, including unit, functional, and integration testing, while maintaining high-quality technical documentation.
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for core applications, providing second-line support and collaborating with Infrastructure and DBA teams to resolve complex technical bottlenecks.
- Maintain and enhance interfaces between front-office platforms (e.g., Fidessa) and back-office settlement systems.
- Develop and support SSIS packages and Excel-based EUC tools for the Finance and Operations departments.
Technical Skills & Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in C# .NET, Oracle/SQL Server, and SSIS.
- Advanced Excel VBA skills for financial automation tools.
- 5+ years of software development experience in a corporate setting, preferably in investment banking or securities, focusing on Equities trading or Middle/Back-office flows.
- Familiarity with Fidessa, Omgeo CTM, ULBridge, or Java/ASP is a significant advantage.
- Solid understanding of the Equity trade lifecycle (Trade capture, matching, and settlement).
- University Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. MCP or relevant technical certifications are a plus.
- A self-starter capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English, with Cantonese proficiency preferred for regional coordination.
