Company - Crown Distributors/ Ortech Industries Position - Mechanical estimator - Construction Surrey, BC V3W 5V9 Salary $40.40 hourly / 35 hours per week Terms of employment Permanent employment Full time Evening, Morning, Day Starts as soon as possible vacancies -1 Overview- Languages- English Education- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience- 1 year to less than 2 years Responsibilities- Tasks- Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present clients Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads Project cash flow and financing requirements Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bids forms Advise on tendering procedures Analyze tenders and recommend awards Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems Monitor and adjust contract expenditures Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates Estimate cost of projects Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates Experience and specialization- Computer and technology knowledge- Spreadsheet MS Excel MS Word MS PowerPoint Additional information- Work conditions and physical capabilities- Fast-paced environment Attention to detail Personal suitability- Excellent oral communication Excellent written communication Flexibility Organized Team player How to apply- By email- crowndistributors123[at]gmail.com By mail- 13376 Comber Way Surrey, BC V3W 5V9
