About the Client: Our client is a premier, globally recognized financial institution with a massive footprint in the Asian market. They are currently investing heavily in their Management Information (MI) and Data Analytics capabilities to drive intelligent, data-led decision-making across their extensive distribution network. You will be joining an elite, fast-paced technology division that prides itself on leveraging modern data stacks to solve complex business challenges and optimize frontline operational performance.
The Role & Landscape: As a crucial member of the MI Stream, you will take ownership of building and operating the foundational data architecture that powers the organization's Staff Performance Dashboards.
- Architect and Build: Design, develop, and maintain the core Staff Performance DataMart utilizing distributed databases and SQL engines.
- Pipeline Engineering: Implement highly efficient, scalable ETL processes and stored procedures using Python and SQL to ensure seamless data integration.
- Secure Access Management: Apply advanced user access control logic (Row-Level Security) to guarantee that customized, highly sensitive performance data is securely accessed by the right stakeholder groups.
- Dashboard Collaboration: Partner closely with offshore development teams to design and structure intuitive, highly responsive dashboards for the distribution network.
- Business Translation: Act as the technical linchpin, translating dynamic business requests and finance-aligned definitions into robust data models and reporting solutions.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of dedicated professional experience in Data Engineering, ETL development, and building governed reporting datasets.
- Core Technical Stack: Mastery of SQL and vendor-neutral experience with MPP data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse).
- Programming & Version Control: Strong working proficiency in Python for data manipulation/automation, coupled with practical Git/GitHub workflow experience.
- BI Expertise: Deep familiarity with enterprise BI tools, with a strong preference for Looker.
- Soft Skills: Impeccable stakeholder management skills, capable of bridging the gap between offshore technical teams and local business units. Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory.
