The Role & Landscape
As a Cash Equity Trading Support Analyst, you will step into a pivotal role within a lean, high-performing team responsible for the health and stability of mission-critical front and middle-office systems.
- System Ownership: Perform daily health checks, proactive monitoring, and rigorous testing to ensure the uncompromised availability of cash equity OMS, EMS, algorithmic engines, and connectivity gateways.
- Front-Line Support: Act as the primary regional point of contact, delivering rapid-response day-to-day support to cash equity business users and traders across the Hong Kong and regional offices.
- Client & Exchange Connectivity: Spearhead the hands-on troubleshooting, testing, and implementation of new client system connections (FIX), while coordinating closely with local exchanges for projects and mandatory market rehearsals.
- Change & Incident Management: Execute safe, well-controlled deployments and post-change health checks. Log, track, and manage all incidents meticulously using enterprise ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Technical Leadership: Conduct feasibility studies, present clear system solutions to business stakeholders, and act as a senior technical guide to more junior members of the support team.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 5+ years of dedicated, hands-on front-office application/production support experience, strictly within Cash Equity trading environments.
- Domain Expertise: Exceptional, granular understanding of cash equity trade lifecycles, OMS/EMS platforms, and Middle Office systems.
- Technical Acumen: Deep, proven expertise in FIX protocol troubleshooting, client connectivity, and analyzing system logs line-by-line to resolve dropped connections and routing anomalies.
- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to demanding business users. English proficiency is mandatory; Cantonese is a highly advantageous asset for local stakeholder alignment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to participate in early morning system check rosters, weekend work for deployments, and out-of-hours market rehearsals as required.
