Requirements:
Open to someone who can speak Japanese.
Open up to JLPT N3; no JLPTcertification required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related technical field.
Supervisory or managerial experience in technical or engineering roles within optical lens or precision manufacturing.
Open to both college graduates and undergraduates.
Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working across different teams.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Strategic mindset focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
Practical knowledge of optical lens production, including molding, polishing, hard coating, AR coating, and surfacing.
Familiar with production planning, process control, and ISO quality management systems.
Skilled in technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process optimization.
Preferably residing in the Philippines and know how to speak Bisaya/ Cebuano
Must be willing to work in Cebu City.
Responsibilities:
Monitor daily lens manufacturing stages including molding, curing, coating, tinting, and inspection.
Assist the Technical Manager in meeting output targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
Diagnose and fix production or technical issues to minimize downtime and manufacturing defects.
Work with Engineering and Maintenance teams on machine troubleshooting, calibration, and routine upkeep.
Support initiatives aimed at upgrading product quality, increasing yield, and lowering costs.
Run process validation, capability studies, and performance checks on key equipment.
Maintain production processes and machinery in strict accordance with optical quality standards and safety rules.
Assist in training operators and technicians on updated technologies, machine operations, and standard procedures.
Help evaluate and integrate new lens materials, advanced coatings, and new machinery alongside the R&D team.
Monitor material usage, manage reject rates, and track overall efficiency metrics.
Draft technical reports, production summaries, and data-driven improvement ideas for management.
