Requirements:
Open to someone who can speak Japanese.
Open up to JLPT N3 Passer or Non Passer; no JLPT.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
Supervisory/managerial experience in technical or engineering roles preferably within the optical lens or precision manufacturing industry.
Deep understanding of optical lens manufacturing equipment and processes (such as injection molding, coating, polishing, curing, and surfacing).
Hands-on experience diagnosing machinery issues, performing repairs, and calibrating production processes.
Background in automation, PLC systems, and technical documentation is an advantage.
Exceptional leadership, team coordination, and mentoring capabilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across different teams.
Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and achieve results in a high-pressure environment.
Strategic mindset focused on innovation and continuous process improvement.
Preferably residing in the Philippines and know how to speak Bisaya/Cebuano
Must be willing to work in Cebu City.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Technical Manager in overseeing daily technical operations, lens production, and machinery upkeep.
Support the installation, calibration, planning, and maintenance of optical manufacturing equipment (molding, surfacing, coating, curing, and polishing).
Monitor manufacturing parameters to ensure full compliance with optical and quality standards.
Help troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis on machinery or process issues to reduce downtime and defects.
Work closely with the Production, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to maintain a smooth production flow.
Propose and execute process improvements to boost efficiency, lower waste, and improve lens quality.
Oversee preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and ensure compliance with technical standards.
Assist in creating and documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Partner with the R&D and Engineering teams to introduce new products, machinery, or technologies.
Train technical staff and operators on safe machine handling, proper maintenance, and safety protocols.
Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with occupational safety and environmental regulations.
