Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $16.48- $16.48/ hour*
What you'll be doing as a Hospital Cook:
Prepare, cook, portion, and present a variety of hot and cold food items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special or catered events
Follow standardized recipes, production schedules, and portion control guidelines
Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, measuring, and mixing as needed
Ensure food is prepared safely and meets quality, presentation, and dietary standards
Monitor food temperatures and follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, workstations, and food preparation areas
Assist with receiving, storing, rotating, and labeling food products
Support the kitchen team and perform other food service duties as assigned

Job requirements:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
Previous cooking experience in a hospital, healthcare facility, cafeteria, restaurant, or commercial kitchen is preferred
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining quality and accuracy
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills
Background check and other pre-employment requirements may be required depending on the assignment
