Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $28 - $31 / hour*
What You'll Be Doing as a Production Supervisor:
Directs the work of all production workers on his/her shift, including allocation of people to necessary jobs
Closely supervises machine operators, ensuring that they maintain all production standards
Assigns work in the production department to meet production schedules
Sees that all production records are accurately completed and maintaine
Maintains safe working conditions and enforces safety rules with his/her staff
Supervises housekeeping in the production department, ensures the production area is in tour ready condition
Meets production standards on his/her shift and reports any deviations to the Production Manager
Maintains accurate reports
Is willing and able to perform work usually performed by the people he supervises; this is required for training procedures, emergency situations, or when the work load is excessive
Meets with other supervisors at beginning and end of shift for tier 1 meeting
Assigned tier 1 issues to appropriate staff and monitors progress through the shift
Escalates tier 1 unresolved issues to tier 2
Ensures efficiency of operations and development of subordinates to maximum effectiveness
Ability to set-up all extruders and adjust center and vacuum
PVC, PE Compound
Adjust water levels, water trough and puller speed
Ability to select, install and check the performance of pins, dies, calibration, coilers, cutters and various other production equipment
Computes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage area
Inspects and measures extruded products to verify conformance to company standards
Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment
Interprets specifications and job orders to workers and assigns duties
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
Maintains high Moral
Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals Maintain a positive and safe work environment and insure that safety procedures are followed
Be knowledgeable of products and quality requirements
Able to perform activities of all operators
Trains new employee's on how to effectively operate lines
Performs Material Handler duties and must be certified to operate a sit-down and stand-up reach lift
Have basic computer skills and knowledge MS Office
Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university; or five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or ASQ Six Sigma Greenbelt desired
ERP system experience required, with working knowledge of SAP a plus
SPC and TQM experience desirable
Experience in a medium to high volume manufacturing operation with ability to promote a team environment
Hands-on supervision skills
Should bePro-active
Effective communication and people management skills
Must have excellent communication skills and an aptitude for detailed work requiring high accuracy
Must have good PC skills, including Microsoft office software knowledge
The ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram Communication and Language skills
Critical thinking and logical reasoning skills, including problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making
Ability to present complex data in clear, concise text
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables
Skilled at interpreting marketing campaign performance metrics to gain insight and assess against corporate goals
Ability to collaborate with managers, creative teams, and directors
Research product data to fully understand products for technical writing
Displays contagious enthusiasm for objectives, tasks, and people. Positively affects the commitment of others
Highly effective communicator possessing the ability to listen with the intent to understand fully and to articulate strong reasoning and potential solutions
Able to deploy successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution
Analyze and review timeframes and meet deadlines while successfully adhering to corporate budget plans to establish processes and timelines
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos
Ability to write problematic posts. Capacity to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations
Ability to read the audience and situation and communicate effectively
Conveys thoughts clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
Assess and transition copy for the audience receiving the technical and procedural documentation; adjust tone and technical terms to ensure understanding
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently, with limited direct supervision, and effectively manage tasks and time
Effective communication skills, written & verbal
Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical work-related terminology, reports, SOPs, and procedures. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers
Bilingual (Spanish and English) Preferred
Ability to understand mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamental fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables
Valid Driver's License
Valid Passport
Participate in all training exercises needed to perform the job satisfactorily
Safety / PPE Requirements Must complete training as specified by the Company
Safety glasses must be worn at all times in all manufacturing, production, and factory areas
Hearing and vision protection, or other PPE, may be required when performing certain job functions
Employee must utilize mechanical aids (or assistance of a co-worker) to lift and/or move objects over 75 pounds
