The Automotive Technician II is a mid-level technician responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services for fleet vehicles. This role emphasizes exceptional customer satisfaction while ensuring cost-effective service delivery. The technician may work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $24.50 - $24.50 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Mechanic Level II:
Perform preventive maintenance services, including:Oil changes,Oil, fuel, and transmission filter replacements,Transmission flushes
Inspections for mechanical deficiencies
Execute light repairs as required based on inspection findings
Perform repairs and maintenance based on certification level, including:OBD II systems, Brake systems,Tire services,Tune-ups,Suspension components,Aerial lift systems,Electrical systems
State safety inspections
Interior and exterior components
Engine and drivetrain components
Maintain and repair equipment such as:Cable trailers,Laptop docking stations
Assist with more complex repairs and advanced diagnostics as needed
Perform moderate fabrication tasks, including:Equipment design,Welding and custom modifications
Troubleshoot and repair specialized fleet systems, including:Hydraulic systems,Generators,Electrical systems,Hybrid vehicle systems,Onboard computer systems
Ensure operational readiness and availability of specialized fleet vehicles
Available shifts:
Shift Timings:1st Shift (Day),Weekends
Job requirements:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age tbe considered for employment with PeopleReady
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record
Minimum of 3 years of vehicle service and repair experience
Ability to operate both standard and automatic transmission vehicles
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds (tools and equipment)
Background check and Drug test required
