Quality Control Technician
PeopleReady of Fresno, CA is now hiring Quality Control Technicians!The On-line Quality Control Technician performs quantitative and qualitative tests on samples produced by the production lines. Communicates to their respective Supervisors of “Out of Specs” results and trends every single incident. Conducts any other tests or perform other tasks as directed by the Quality Manager

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $21.00 - $22.50 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Quality Control Technician:

• Other duties may be assigned
• Check samples as received from production following procedures to the word
• Enter testing results into the computer system and/or SPC sheets
• Immediately communicate ‘out of specs' results to the shift supervisor for assessment
• Continue to communicate problems regardless of the reaction, attitude, or response every single time
• Follow up on rejected coils making sure they were scrapped physically and in the computer system
• Assist other staff members, reflecting a team effort
• Read, understand, and comply with all provisions of the Employee Handbook
• Read, understand, and comply with all provisions of the company IIPP (Injury and Illness Prevention Program)
• Promote a safe work environment by example and report immediately any unsafe work conditions

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• English - Written and verbal communication
• Excellent basic math skillsProven effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Basic computer literacy
• Experience in production processes QC is an advantage
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed
• Able to accurately follow written instructions
• Must be a strong communicator
• Able to work with little or no supervision
• Sensitive to Safety and Quality
• A leader and initiator attitude
• Team player
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, with limited direct supervision, and effectively manage tasks and time
• employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
• The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Keep sensitive information confidential
• Maintain regular attendance
• Punctual and proactive in getting necessary work done
• Background check and Drug test required
