We are looking for a skilled, dedicated person to fill the position of Service Writer at our Summerside, PE location.

Provide exceptional customer service while running the daily operations of the service department primarily focused on the Powersports and Turf departments. Assist service manager in maintaining accurate and on-time reports and records relative to the service department’s operation within the dealership.
Provide exceptional customer service fielding internal and external customer inquiries
Assist in the diagnosis of machine problems and communicates to the customer the list of repairs and services that may be needed then assigns work to appropriate technician with work order.
Prepares & Reviews all repair work orders for accuracy and completeness ensuring all parts, materials and labor are posted. Responsible for work orders from start to finish ensuring any additional repairs are communicated to customer and authorized by customer. Ensures all work orders are completed and invoiced before the release of equipment and delivery to the customer.
Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orders.
Maintains the service library with current information (for example, files bulletins, manuals, multi-media, etc.) under the direct supervision of the Service Manager
Directed by sales, arranges the re-conditioning of used equipment and set-up of new equipment.
Works with Service Manager in all aspects of the Service Department in fulfilling the responsibilities of the Service Manager (may fill in for Service Managers role in their absence) which include some of the following – maintains accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders - may prepare Service Technician efficiency reports.

Assist in the continuing the development of standardized job pricing(SJP) and processes that maximize service profitability.
Perform other duties and functions as directed by Management in line with objectives of the dealership.
Encourage and support teamwork treating all employees and customers fairly, courteously and with dignity while promoting a safe and cooperative fun work environment.
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
Must have outgoing, friendly personality and superior communication and customer service skills
Experience working in a service department
Basic knowledge of accounting practices and office procedures
Good computer skills with the ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
Ability to speak effectively one on one or before groups of customers or employees of the organization
General understanding of mechanical/technical terms is preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
