Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $20 - $20 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Yard Dog Driver:
Operate yard trucks (yard mules/hostlers) to move trailers and containers within the yard or between dock doors
Spot and position trailers safely and efficiently for loading and unloading
Inspect trailers for damage or safety issues and report findings to supervisors
Ensure all trailer moves are properly logged and tracked
Maintain organization of the yard to ensure smooth traffic flow
Communicate with dispatchers, warehouse, and dock personnel to coordinate trailer movement
Perform basic vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks
Follow all safety policies, traffic patterns, and procedures on company property
Available shifts:
Shift timings -1st Shift (Day)
Job requirements:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
Previous experience as a Yard Jockey, Yard Mule Operator, or similar position preferred
CDL or prior truck driving experience a plus
Ability to operate tractor-trailer equipment safely in tight spaces
Strong attention to safety and detail
Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
Reliable and punctual with good communication skills
