PeopleReady of Escondido, CAis now hiring Wheel Loader Operators in San Marcos, CA!The Wheel Loader Operator is responsible for safely operating a John Deere 524 P-Tier Mid-Size Wheel Loader to load customer deliveries and unload incoming shipments at a soil and landscaping materials facility. This role also involves customer interaction, including taking orders over the phone and coordinating material loading. The operator will support daily yard operations while maintaining safety, efficiency, and customer service standards.

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $20 - $22 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Wheel Loader Operator:
Operate a John Deere 524 P-Tier Mid-Size Wheel Loader or smaller loading equipment to assist with loading soil, mulch, and other materials onto customer and company vehicles
Unload and stage incoming shipments of materials in designated yard locations
Communicate with customers in person and by phone to take orders, answer basic questions, and coordinate loading activities
Perform basic equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures
Available shifts:
Shift timings -1st Shift (Day)
Monday through Friday - 6am-6pm; Saturday and Sunday - closed
Job requirements:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
Previous experience operating wheel loaders or similar heavy equipment (mid-size preferred).
Spanish-speaking required; must be able to communicate effectively with customers and staff.
Basic customer service and phone communication skills.
Ability to work safely in an outdoor, industrial yard environment.
Knowledge of equipment safety practices and willingness to follow site procedures.
Ability to lift, bend, and work on feet for extended periods
