Claremont, Cape Town: BOOKSHOP SALES ASSISTANT (x2)
Minimum Requirements:
-Presentable, friendly and reliable
-Fully bilingual with good English communication skills
-Matric / Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 Certificate a must
-Recent retail sales / stock merchandising or similar retail experience a must
-Computer literate and experienced in using Point of Sale system
-Stable employment record (no job hoppers) and contactable employment references
-No lawful termination at any previous employer due to misconduct or non performance
-Residing within daily commuting distance from Claremont
-To start as soon as possible
Work Hours:
-Mondays to Fridays from 08h00-17h00 and every second Saturday from 08h00-13h00.
Duties:
-Sales assistance and customer service duties for Bookshop
-Act as first point of contact and create a welcoming environment for customers
-Provide expert recommendations and help customers find their next great read
-Greet customers, offer personalized recommendations and handle inquiries
-Operate Point of Sale system, process payments, returns and special orders
-Merchandising, keep shelves tidy, restock books, themed book displays
-Receive new stock, unpack deliveries and update inventory records
Salary: R 8 000.00 – R 10 000.00 gross maximum (Depending on experience)
