Full job description
We are inviting qualified applicants to apply for an exciting opportunity as a Code 14 Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient truck operations and delivering products to customers on time while maintaining a high standard of service and safety.
Purpose of the Job:
To ensure effective and efficient operations of the company’s trucks to deliver complete allocated product loads to customers on time. The role also includes acting proactively in providing exceptional customer service through deliveries and maintaining the cold chain right up to the customer receiving the desired products.
Education, experience, and competencies required:
Grade 12 / Matric / Equivalent.
Valid Code 14 driver’s license with PRDP.
2 to 3 years of truck driving experience within a dairy manufacturing environment or FMCG environment will be advantageous.
Good communication and numerical skills.
Ability to build good customer relationships.
Cooperative, proactive and always willing to assist.
Disciplined and time conscious.
Ability to effectively adapt to change and work in other areas as instructed.
Key Performance Areas:
Adhere closely to daily load plans.
Maintain accurate product deliveries and liaise with customer(s).
Ensure PODs are signed and returned.
Always adhere to the green band driving.
Maintain the vehicle hygienically clean.
Constantly monitor the vehicle and communicate preventative maintenance requirements.
Health & Safety - ensure safe and legal operation of the vehicle.
